Steam Asset Toolkit

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-11

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of "Steam Asset Toolkit" (this website and tool, "the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Independent, unofficial tool

Steam Asset Toolkit is an independent, fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation in the U.S. and/or other countries. This tool simply helps you compose image files at the pixel dimensions published in Valve's public Steamworks documentation; it does not access, integrate with, or submit anything to Steam or Steamworks on your behalf.

2. Description of the Service

The Service lets you upload images in your browser, position and scale them as layers, and export the result at standard Steam store/library asset dimensions. All image processing happens locally in your browser; see the Privacy Policy for details on what data (if any) is collected.

3. Your content

4. Intellectual property

The Service's own code, design, and branding (including the "Steam Asset Toolkit" name and logo) belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to that intellectual property beyond what is needed to use the Service as intended. You retain all rights to the images you upload and to the composited assets you export.

5. Advertising

The Service may show a Google AdSense advertisement before certain downloads to help support the tool. See the Privacy Policy for details on how advertising data is handled.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Asset dimensions are provided for convenience and may not always reflect the most current Steamworks requirements — always verify against Valve's official documentation before submitting assets to Steam.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this Service will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any loss of data, images, or business opportunity.

8. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms or change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by generally applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent not superseded by mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.

10. Contact
